1973 BMW CS Track Build

This 1973 BMW CS was brought to London Auto with instruction to convert it to a track-ready CSL clone. The CS was stripped down and prepped for the track. This work included a roll cage hand built and welded in here at London, in addition to smaller details such as clutch wraps and fire extinguishers. The more extensive modifications included a fully built and modified suspension permitting the motor to move 9 inches back in the engine bay. This modification allowed for the weight distribution to be much closer to 50/50. The engine was built by Corman and installed by London. The car ultimately came in under weight, requiring additional lead weights to be welded into the trunk, and ran competitively for a number of years in the Mid-Atlantic area.
